Jesus reminds us that whenever two or three gather in His name, He is present with them. Our challenge to you is simple: be the church wherever you are. Take the opportunity to connect with others by sharing a meal, praying together, and sharing life. It’s all about inviting His presence into your gatherings, whether in a home, a park, or even a restaurant.

How It Works:

Form a Group. Choose a Day. Invite Others to Join.

Here’s how you can get started:

  1. Create Your Group: Gather two or three individuals or families who are interested in meeting together.
  2. Choose a Day: Find a time that works for you to come together in community.
  3. Pick a Place: This could be someone’s home, a cozy spot outdoors, or a favorite restaurant.
  4. Pray, Eat, and Share: Start with a prayer, share a meal, and open up about your joys, struggles, and blessings. Enjoy the gift of togetherness in Christ’s presence.

*Explanation of Sabbath:

At Oasis, we practice a rest period of 24 hours from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset to honor the gift given to humanity at Creation. The Sabbath was given as a time of rest and connection with God and community. Jesus taught us: “The Sabbath was made for man” (Mark 2:27). The Sabbath is an invitation to pause from our work and remember that God’s work is complete—that His care holds everything together. This day reminds us that we don’t have to strive endlessly; God is in control, and our being flows from His doing. Each Sabbath is a glimpse of the eternal rest Jesus promises, a chance to rest physically and spiritually—trusting in His finished work.
